OUR MAISON
The Architecture of Time
We define the territory of Serene Power. Haute horlogerie born from the tense balance between the force of wild nature and the rigour of construction.
Beyond simple linear measurement, Poincaré creates instruments of substance. Our watches are architectural presences on the wrist, designed for the accomplished aesthete in search of nuance and quiet affirmation. The choice of those who chart their own course.
Haute Horlogerie is an act of faith, a statement.
Poincaré was born out of this conviction. We believe that the beauty of an object lies in its structural integrity. A watch is designed to anchor the wrist, giving it weight and meaning. Each line of our timepieces follows this logic of absolute harmony, dictated by the accuracy of proportions.
In our workshops, the choice of the hand reigns supreme. It is a belief in the patience of age-old gestures in the face of the speed of the modern world. Every polished angle, every smoothed surface marks the victory of mastery over raw materials.
This requirement naturally limits production. This rarity is the physical condition of our excellence. We craft for the individual, creating watches that have the power of self-evidence and traverse the ages with silent relevance.
Founder and Principal
For its founder Antoine Savolainen, The 21st century has redefined luxury. It no longer lies in accumulation, but in the quality of perception. Poincaré was born from this intuition: we do not seek to endure the passing of time, but to give it structure and density. Our signature, «Honouring Time», is a commitment to honouring the time of matter and the time of experience.
«Poincaré is born from a dialogue between raw nature – mineral, untamed – and architectural refinement, human construction. It is the contemplation of the wild from the serenity of a controlled interior. An aesthetic that rejects noise to focus on substance.»
Chairman of the Advisory Committee
Former CEO of Vacheron Constantin, Juan-Carlos Torres left a defining mark on the world’s oldest continuously operating watch manufacture. He played a key role in its contemporary development and spearheaded major projects such as Les Cabinotiers, Métiers d’Art, and the training programs dedicated to transmitting horological savoir-faire.
“The vision we share — founded above all on respect — is what led me to join Poincaré. Respect for Haute Horlogerie, for tradition, for partners, collaborators and clients, and for the friendship that binds us. Antoine lives these values every day, and that inspires confidence — in him as in Poincaré.”
He now joins Poincaré to guide and affirm our clear vision of watchmaking: unwavering standards, a strong identity, and mastery of craft without compromise. His experience at the highest level of the industry illuminates Poincaré’s strategic direction and naturally positions us among the recognized actors of Haute Horlogerie.
Innovation
The cradle of great avant-garde discoverers, Switzerland has always been at the forefront of high technology and a forerunner of striking innovations. Building a better world has also always been a strong marker for Switzerland; the International Committee of the Red Cross was created there, the UN has its European headquarters there. Faithful to his humanist and responsible values, Poincaré innovates by reconciling two often opposing worlds; luxury and eco-responsibility, for the best of both worlds.
Independence
Our independence is the engine of our freedom. Our main activity is not to make reporting or to know what should be our positioning of offers, in the brand portfolio of a group. This independence allows us to aim for the best in the design or quality of our watches. Independence is a state of mind, an ideal; it is ours and certainly yours as well.
Exclusivity
Our limited annual production of pieces provides rarity and exclusivity to your future timepiece. This choice of controlled production also allows us not to make any compromises. All our watches are thus produced meticulously, finished and assembled by hand then checked one by one, before undergoing a battery of restrictive final tests.
Responsibility
The world we live in must make us aware of the wonders and benefits it brings us, but also of the notable changes that are occurring. It is our responsibility to be aware of it and to preserve it as best we can. We therefore participate in sustainable projects on the field.
